The Spring Orchestra Concert, Spring Band Concert and Spring Vocal Concert featured more than 200 Middle School and Upper School students performing a wide variety of music.
St. Margaret’s talented musicians were in the spotlight during three straight nights of concerts on the Hurlbut Theater stage this week. The Spring Orchestra Concert, Spring Band Concert and Spring Vocal Concert featured more than 200 Middle School and Upper School students performing a wide variety of music.
Orchestra
The 2019 Orchestra Concert featured performances by the Middle School and Upper School orchestras, totaling 63 students grades 6-12. The concert included performances ranging from the theme of Game of Thrones to music from the Disney film Frozen. There also was a viola solo from senior Gillian Mann.
More than 95 students in the Jazz Ensemble, Band 6, Band 7 and Concert Band took part in the Spring 2019 Band Concert, performing more than 20 numbers ranging from classical pieces like “Overture of 1812” to a popular hit by Stevie Wonder.
The 2019 Spring Vocal Concert featured the Grade 6 Choir and the Highlander Chorale performing more than 15 songs, ranging from John Lennon to John Legend.
In addition, there were several solo performances, featuring Paloma Arntsen, Helena Lawry, Soren Olsen, Olivia Cancellieri, Brent Chou, Gilbert Chung, Emily Sun, Zoe Mellard, Tommy Colglazier, Neela Gerayli, Nathan Soto and Anna Moellenhoff.
In total, more than 100 students grades 6-12 participated in the show.
