St. Margaret's Lacrosse Programs Take on National Powerhouses

The Tartans will host two East coast opponents on Tuesday.
St. Margaret's lacrosse teams will have a chance to prove themselves on a national stage on March 19 as the Tartans host established East coast programs.

St. Margaret's girls will host IMG Academy from Bradenton, Fla. on Tartan Field at 4:30 p.m. IMG (3-5) are on a West coast swing after taking on Maryland's top-flight programs McDonogh and Notre Dame Prep. The 2018 U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section Champion Tartans will look to improve to 4-1 with a win on Tuesday afternoon.

St. Margaret's boys (Inside Lacrosse's No. 8 in the West) will take on Deerfield Academy from Deerfield, Mass. (No. 7 in the North East) immediately following the girls game on Tuesday evening. Deerfield (2-0) competes in the vaunted Six Schools League in New England. The Tartans have been successful against out-of-conference opponents, beating The Woodlands School (Texas) 12-10 and 2018 U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section Champions Loyola 12-4.
