Despite windy conditions on the course, St. Margaret's turned in its first sub-200 performance of the year to capture a 197-244 victory over Pacifica Christian on Tuesday. Junior Yuki Bannai shot 36 with two birdies, freshman Graden Huang and junior Kevin Guo both shot 39s while senior Jack Wojcik scored a solid 40 with a 20-foot par-saving putt on hole seven. Michael Etchandy rounded out the scoring in the win, with the Tartans improving to 1-1 in league play.

Boys Tennis

The Tartans posted a dominating 16-2 performance against Tarbut V'Torah on Tuesday at The Tennis Club in Newport Beach, which followed a pair of 10-8 victories against powerhouses Laguna Beach and Newport Harbor.

"As the season has progressed I have seen a lot more confidence from the boys while competing in our matches. They are getting familiar with one another on the court and have had great energy and support from each other while competing," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "I am looking forward to the rest of the season as we compete for a league title and especially looking toward our rematch with Sage to demonstrate how our boys have improved since our last match."
