SMES Library
Book Collection
(Contributor: Roseann Kosulandich)
With the new version of the library’s online book catalog several new features are available for students and faculty. You can find our book collection listed on the MS/US Resources web page and the library’s own web page. The computers that are located in the library also have the SMES Book Collection on the “desk top”.
As you search the database you will now find both books and selected web links available on many different subjects. A student may choose visual or text options to search for all materials (especially on “desk top” version). Teachers can search through our video collection by using the (VID) call number designation in the call # search field. All videos on campus whether in the library or in department offices are listed.
Another feature is the category icon where a patron can search for a special grouping of books we have categorized together, an example being: Christmas books, Newbery award books, etc. The bookbag feature gives the student the ability to print a list of titles he/she wishes to check out or physically search for in the library.
Coming soon is the
Find-It-All button which allows a patron to search a variety of information
sources all at once, including our local library catalog. The screen shows
those local, internet, and subscription sources, such as, online encyclopedias
and new sites available to you.
Be sure to explore these new choices in our SMES Library
Book Collection. If you need help
please call the Library staff.
