Turkey Shoot 2004
| Kendall Reed flew his 6" rocket on an X-Research M2500 motor. Great blue flame, went to about 8,000 feet with perfect dual deploy on the way down. Click on the picture for a larger version. | |
| Vince Serkus flew his 4" El Diablo on an X-Research red flame M motor. Awesome fast flight to 18,000 and change. That's the fastest red formula I have ever seen. |
|
| I flew my 3" rocket AIR (Infinity Reanimation) on a K410 slow load. It was a very graceful flight to 10,300 feet; the T/W was only about 6:1. Perfect deployment on the way down too. |

| My other flight for the day was the 4" Arcas making its eighth trip into the sky with a L650 red flame motor behind it. It chuffed twice before coming up to pressure - I bet the nitrate-based red motor sucked up water from the humid climate down here. The rocket didn't care, however, and flew just fine to 10,100 feet with perfect dual deploy. |
