The Story of Christmas Comes Alive With Preschool and Lower School Programs

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church hosted programs by the Preschool and Lower School that celebrates Christmas and tells the story behind it.
The Christmas story came alive as St. Margaret’s preschool students donned party clothes and costumes to sing carols and hear the story of Jesus’ birth read aloud at the 35th annual Preschool Christmas Programme on Thursday evening in St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.

This year, the Lower School celebrated its 38th Christmas service of Lessons and Carols with two performances on Tuesday and two on Wednesday in the St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. The service included Bible readings, carols, musical performances and dance performances.

The Lower School Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols was first celebrated in December 1979 and is one of the oldest traditions of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. It began as an opportunity for our students, parents and the St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church community to worship together through the retelling of the Christmas story.
