Girls Tennis Advances to CIF-SS Second Round

The Tartans defeated Palm Springs High 12-6 in First Round team play.
St. Margaret's girls tennis had a strong showing in CIF-SS First Round team action on Wednesday, defeating Palm Springs High School 12-6. The Tartans put any playoff trepidations behind them as the day went on and advanced to the second round.

Senior Isabella Oedekerk swept her opponent is straight sets winning 6-0 each time. Senior Elise Talley went 2 of 3 to help the Tartans’ scoring. The doubles teams of Catherine Landaas / Reilly Parkhill, Kristen Allmeroth / Emma Paddon and Madeline Hughes / Alysse Pusey all contributed to the Tartan victory.

Coach Dana Bozeman said, "We are looking forward to the second round and facing the great tennis program at Long Beach Poly. I felt like our efforts in the first round shook loose any of the nerves our players may have had about playoff competition. It should be a great match on Friday."

The Tartans will face Long Beach Poly in the Second Round on Friday, November 4 at Saddleback College.
