St. Margaret’s Episcopal School Names Glen Miles Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach

St. Margaret’s Episcopal School Athletic Director Susie Maga announced today the appointment of Glen Miles as the next head coach of St. Margaret’s Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team. Miles comes to St. Margaret’s from San Clemente High School where he has served as head coach for the past five years, and will take the reins of a program with a rich tradition of excellence and success.
The St. Margaret’s Lacrosse program was established in 2002 and has amassed a remarkable 123-54 record including a 43-5 Trinity League Record. Susie Maga said, “I am excited for this next phase of Tartan Lacrosse under Coach Miles leadership. The program will continue to thrive with his outstanding knowledge of lacrosse and passion for the game. I look forward to him joining our Athletic Department.”
Coach Miles is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, a three-time All American, a member of the 1990 US World Champion Lacrosse Team USA and the 1986 Lt. Donald McLaughlin Award winner as Midfielder of the Year.
He said, “I am very proud to be selected as the next lacrosse coach at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. It is very exciting to be hired by this prestigious academic institution and I am humbled by the honor. I look forward to the challenge and will do my very best to continue to grow and foster the great lacrosse tradition that has been established at St. Margaret’s.”
Coach Miles, a retired Marine who came to San Clemente after serving 20 years as a Marine Corps Fighter Pilot established the San Clemente High School boys lacrosse program in 2008. Miles led the Tritons to a 64-26 record in five seasons. San Clemente was the South Coast League Co-Champion in 2009 and 2010. Most recently the team competed in the 2012 CIF Southern Section Semifinals before losing to eventual Southern Section Champion--Corona Del Mar High School.Back to previous page
