Philadelphia / Washington D.C. Trip - May 19-25, 2012
This will be the 18th year that St. Margaret's students have traveled as an eighth grade class with the tour group WorldStrides. We want to thank you for helping to provide your child with this once in a lifetime academic and social experience. This site will be updated with appropriate forms and documents throughout the school year.
What you need to do to register your student:
Fill out the WorldStrides registration brochure and send it along with a deposit of $99.00 in the envelope provided with your packet to WorldStrides. You may also register your child online at worldstrides.com and pay with a credit card. Make sure you reference trip ID number 67155. They will be billing you for the remainder of the cost. Please register your child and pay the deposit by October 14th to reserve a spot for your child. The overall cost of the trip is $2205.00 for students in a quad room. All registration takes place directly with WorldStrides.
If you are interested in chaperoning, please wait until December when your child selects their room group. We allow for one parent per room group of four kids. After the rooms have been decided, we will ask each student room group to let us know the parent chaperone for the group. We will then send a registration packet home for the parent chaperone to complete. Please review the chaperone guidelines published by World Strides. They have extremely rigorous expectations for chaperoning the trip, which we strongly adhere to. Please be sure that you are aware of the responsibilities of the trip before submitting your name in December. We will also require that all chaperones fly there and back with the entire school group.
