Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition levels and fees are for the 2013-2014 school year. You may expect a modest increase in tuition and fees for the 2014-2015 school year. Whether a child is re-enrolling or entering St. Margaret's for the first time, a deposit fee is required to guarantee a place in the school. The balance of the tuition is due in payments on May 31 and November 30. Late payments will be charged a late fee of $50.
In addition, St. Margaret's Episcopal School requires participation in the Tuition Refund Plan underwritten by the Commercial Union Insurance Company, Boston, MA, for A.W. G. Dewar, Inc. The plan costs approximately 0.9% of tuition and protects the educational investment should a student not complete the school year for any reason. The Tuition Refund Plan premium is included in the Inclusive Activity Fee.

Financial Aid
Financial aid enables St. Margaret's Episcopal School to bring students of varying backgrounds to its campus. More than $2.8 million of need-based financial assistance was awarded for the 2012-2013 school year. Students whose families cannot afford the full tuition cost of St. Margaret's are encouraged to apply for admission. After admission decisions are made, financial aid awards are considered and offered to families who demonstrate financial need.
St. Margaret's is a member of School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS). SSS uses national methodology to calculate a family's financial need. This methodology assists St. Margaret's in determining a family's financial ability to contribute towards the cost of tuition. The Financial Aid Committee carefully evaluates the income and assets of each family applying for aid and awards financial assistance according to demonstrated need.
