The expressions of thoughts and feelings take many forms.  Verbal and written language represents only one form that communicates these expressions.  Music, dance, theatre, and the visual arts expand verbal and non-verbal communication skills and encourage the exploration of intuitive and emotional forms of self-expression.
Originating, creating, performing, and interpreting are all important aspects for artistic expression, which provides a humanizing influence and creates a balance in developing the whole person.
