The Gateway Building: Science, Technology and Library

SMES Upper School

1.   The Gateway Building was completed
in 1997 and is home to our Library, Science, and Technology Center. 

2.   Dedicated in 1998, the Upper School Classroom Building is a 22,000 square foot facility for grades 9 through 12 and was made possible by the generosity of our Gateway to the Future donors.

3.  In 1998 the school acquired contiguous land and opened The Meadow to link the new Upper School with the main campus. This  section of our campus provides basketball and volleyball courts, grass play fields, and student drop-off areas.   

4.  Lower School students are enjoying their new playground which was dedicated in December 1999.
5 & 6.  The new Tartan Sports Field was made possible through the generous support from the donors who contributed to the “Fields of Dreams” Funding program and was dedicated at the 1999 Homecoming game.
