Memorial gifts to St. Margaret’s Episcopal School accomplish two significant goals at once: They honor and commemorate a loved one, and they further the school’s mission of educational excellence.

Memorial gifts of any size can be designated toward a specific department or program at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, or their use may be left to the discretion of the school.   If the family of the deceased established a memorial fund, a donor can direct a gift to that fund.

When making a gift to St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in memory of a family member, loved one, friend, or colleague, simply address the envelope:

Include a note with the following information:

• Name of the deceased and date of death.
• Name of the surviving family member to whom notice of this gift to the school should be sent.
• Name, address, and amount of each donation included in the envelope.
• Telephone number of the principal donor, in case there are any questions.

Our general policy is to place memorial gifts in our scholarship fund, unless otherwise requested by the family or the donor. A memorial card is then sent by the Development Office to the surviving family mentioning the name and address of the donor, but not the amount of the gift. Special accounts may be set up in the name of the deceased, if requested.
