Lower School Choir
Mrs. Diane Hawkins
The Pipers Choir
is one of the oldest performance groups established on this campus at the
inception of this school. It is a two section, K-5 graded choir which meets
every week.
The choir sings
at various events throughout the school year, including our Annual Service of
Lessons and Carols at Christmas time, and an Annual Concert in the Spring.
The children will sing at several Tartan Chapel times, All School Eucharist
services, Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day, with occasional excursions
out into the community.
The
directors, Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Remsberg, are committed to providing a
quality, fun musical experience for all children who wish to participate. The
children have a good time while learning many different varieties of music.
They also have the opportunity to sing with the Middle and Upper School choirs
- a exciting, unique experience in the world of music education. Many of our
children begin Pipers as Kindergarteners and sing with the group for six
years. We look forward with a great deal of enthusiasm to beginning anew
each year.
