Welcome to Fourth Grade

 Fourth Grade is a full and busy school year.  Besides all of the regular study areas such as Math, English, Vocabulary, Spelling, and Reading, it is the year we focus on  California History. This is an overview of the development of California from 1600 to 1850.  It will include state geography, mission studies, The Gold Rush, state government, enriched by several fabulous field trips.  It is also the year when students are taught and encouraged to take responsibility for themselves, their behavior, and their own work.  Parental support should be minimal.   We have a great time and learn many fun things!  Welcome to our program.
