Back to School Night, Wednesday September 15

Please join us on Wednesday, September 15, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Field House for our Back-to-School Night. The activities will start in the Field House at 6:00 p.m. where you will receive a copy of your child’s schedule. After a brief presentation, you will circulate through a full rotation of your child’s classes. This evening is for parents only.

STUDENT CELL PHONE USE

Middle School students are permitted to have cell phones on campus. The phones must stay off, out of sight, and may not be used between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., students may use their phones to contact their parents regarding changes in pick up or drop off. Use of cell phones during the school day for emergency purposes is permitted in the Middle School Office or Dean’s classroom.

ZERO HOUR LANGUAGE CLASSES

The Middle School provides extracurricular Spanish and Latin bridge courses in the mornings before school. These courses are designed to maintain language skills, as well as to provide advanced skills which will be useful in upper level language classes. Mrs. Austin (Spanish) and Mr. Higdon (Latin) will provide convocation announcements with further details on sign-up procedures and have an introductory meeting with interested students.
