The above tuition levels and fees are for the 2005-2006
school year. You may expect a modest increase in tuition and fees for the
2006-2007 school
year. When a child is re-registering or entering St. Margarets for the first time, a
$1500 deposit is required to hold a place in the
school. The balance of the tuition is due in payments on
July 1 and December 1. Late payments will be charged a late fee of $50.

Tuition Refund Plan
St. Margarets Episcopal School requires participation
in the Tuition Refund Plan underwritten by the Commercial Union Insurance Company, Boston,
MA, for A.W. G. Dewar, Inc. The plan costs approximately
0.9% of tuition and protects the
educational investment should a student not complete the school year for any reason.

Financial Aid
Financial Aid enables St. Margarets Episcopal School
to bring students of varying backgrounds and talents to its campus. During the
2004-2005 school year,
ninety-four students received $906,000 in financial assistance. This ensures
that students who cannot afford full tuition may apply for admission to St.
Margarets Episcopal School. After a student has been admitted to St.
Margarets, financial aid is considered and awarded to families who demonstrate
financial need. St. Margarets is a member of School and Student Service for
Financial Aid (SSS). Parents who wish to apply for financial aid should check the
financial aid box on the back of the application to request the proper forms. Forms will
be mailed upon request. The demand for financial aid is great; consequently, St.
Margarets Financial Aid Committee carefully evaluates the resources of each applying
family. Applications are processed as they are received, so families are encouraged to
meet the deadlines. Candidates for financial aid must reapply each year.
In order to be considered for financial aid, parents must
complete the following outlined procedures by February 1, 2005:
1) Complete the SSS Financial Aid Parents Financial
Statement and mail to SSS.
2) Submit a statement indicating the amount of tuition the
family can afford to pay and how much assistance is being requested.
3) Submit a copy of a signed 2004 IRS (Federal) tax form
to the Admission Office by April 15, 2005.
