WRITER’S WORKSHOP
Develop creative writing skills as you
learn the basic methods to become a great young writer. Students are
guided through the writing process, which includes generating ideas,
getting messages on paper, revising, editing, and preparing for
publication. Learn to use your imagination, organize your thought, and
build your confidence when you write. Join our steps to learn the
process of writing.

PREPARATION

Prepare for the technology proficiency test through exploration of Word,
Excel and PowerPoint. Develop skills in formatting and creating
documents, as well as creating and editing charts. In addition, develop
a PowerPoint presentation and learn new presentation techniques.

COMPUTER
APPLICATIONS
For credit/one semester
A hands-on approach to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. A
project-based class, the student will complete comprehensive
projects throughout the semester. The student will examine the
interactions of text based and multi-media applications. In
addition to projects, the students will research alternative
solutions through Internet resources.
A required class for incoming ninth grade
students new to St, Margaret's.. (Successful completion of the Technology
Proficiency Exam fulfills this requirement.) Instructor:
